Section Head Network Operations

We are looking for a passionate and experienced NOC Section Head to lead our Network Operations team which is working in a 24/7 shift model. In this role, you will oversee team performance, ensure quality and efficiency in operations, and drive continuous improvement in our processes. As a leader, you will manage both technical and administrative aspects, supporting your team’s growth and maintaining a high standard of service.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Development: Guide team members in their personal and professional progress through regular feedback, goal setting, and coaching.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide expert support on complex issues and assist team members with high-level troubleshooting.
  • Scheduling & Workforce Management: Oversee shift schedules, manage vacation and time-off requests, and ensure optimal staffing.
  • Process Creation & Improvement: Develop, implement, and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality, perform regular audits, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Reporting & Performance Metrics: Track and report on team performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align on goals and support seamless interdepartmental workflows.
  • Capacity & Resource Planning: Forecast resource needs and allocate tools and personnel effectively to handle current and future demands.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Inspire and motivate the team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

 

 

Your Profile as a section Head NOC:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading a team, ideally in Network Operations or a similar role.
  • Technical understanding at a CCNA level
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage technical and organizational challenges efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and respectful communication within the team and across departments.
  • Empathy and fairness in team management; ability to foster a positive work environment and motivate team members.
  • High stress resilience and the capacity to remain composed and effective under pressure.
  • Fluent in Czech or Slovak (required), with good proficiency in English (German is a plus).
  • Willingness to work during standard business hours but also to handle emergencies and unexpected situations as they arise.
